This bride and groom from Boston were committed to having an eco-friendly wedding that reflected their lifestyle and their love of The Berkshires.  The entire weekend celebration took place at Bucksteep Manor, a venue perfect for couples that want to go green. The venue has a tent up all season so as to reduce the cost & impact of rentals for each event; as well as a great barn that we used for the ceremony.  We worked with the chef to create an organic menu full of locally grown and sustainable foods.  For ceremony decor we rented potted grasses from a local nursery that only uses organic soil. The centerpieces were also potted and returned to the nursery after the wedding.  The only cut flowers were the simple yet striking bouquets and boutonnieres of local flowers and herbs.  To get the most use out of the bouquets, they were reused as reception decorations later in the evening.  Offering a shuttle for those guests that did need to travel from their hotel in town, we were able to cut down on the emissions resulting from the guests travel.  Local organic cupcakes and chocolates were offered to guests as they went back into the ceremony barn to end the evening on the dance floor.
